The Noor Bank project was quite unique in its approach. The client didn’t only want a design makeover but also a 360 degree change to help with the repositioning of the brand which would make it look iconic, chic and classy. Moreover, the CEO wanted the culture and traditions of the bank to reflect in their designs and took a lot of interest in finalizing the same. Additionally, the different department heads came to offer their requirements, and we had to fit them all in the plan. The front office being the first point of contact for the customers, was expected to be designed in a signature style. As the bank is based in the Dubai Mall, we had certain restrictions around the working hours. The MEP and architectural drawings required appropriate approvals from the mall authorities before the work commenced. And, the IT Department design and execution was another challenge considering the detailed allotments, electrical work, and storage facilities.
Our Solution
We sat with each department head individually, understood, and incorporated their requirements into the plans, and executed as per their respective needs. The front office was given a posh and an inviting look. In regards to approvals from the mall authorities, we submitted different drawings from time to time to allow for quick feedback. Our team's easy camaraderie helped in securing good relationship with the mall authorities and ease in operations, including movement of materials. While one team worked in the factory during the day, the second team helped with the delivery and third with the execution on site. Given the time restrictions, we worked only in the night which further reduced out allotted time. However, with the right planning and timely execution, we completed the project within the stipulated time period. Post completion of this assignment, we received eight other standalone Noor Bank branch office projects.
