HTS Interiors has once again proven its leadership in design and execution, securing back-to-back industry awards for the refurbishment of the Julphar Avenue and Towers in Ras Al Khaimah.
The project, which reimagined the entrance lobbies, public areas, and three levels of the connecting shopping mall, was recognized by two of the region’s most prestigious platforms:
- Identity Magazine Award – Interior Design (Fit-Out)
- Design Middle East Award – Refurbishment Project of the Year

A Landmark Transformation
Awarded the build contract to renovate the front-of-house areas of the twin towers and shopping mall, HTS Interiors completed the project in December 2024. The renovation reflects a sophisticated approach to reimagining worn-out public zones into visually expansive and functionally dynamic spaces.
Drawing inspiration from the waves of the Arabian Gulf and the sand dunes of Ras Al Khaimah, the design envisioned by consultants was brought to life through HTS’s cohesive and detail-oriented build strategy. From organically seamless flooring to custom curved bench seating in the atrium, every element was meticulously crafted to reflect these natural motifs.
Innovation Meets Execution
Several material and design adaptations were implemented to ensure buildability while maintaining conceptual integrity:
- Opaque polycarbonate panels replaced back-painted glass
- Polycarbonate tubes substituted traditional glass lights
- Acrylic backing introduced for flexible wooden panels
The highlight of the renovation lies in the central atriums, where suspended gradient-blue polycarbonate lights create a striking sculptural wave effect. With 296 lights in the large atrium and 77 in the smaller one, each suspended from a 24-meter-high ceiling, the installation mirrors the movement of the sea and stands as a centerpiece of the project.
